Susan Murphy is the Mallinckrodt Professor of Statistics and of Computer Science at Harvard University and leads the Statistical Reinforcement Learning Lab. Her research develops methods for sequential decision-making in health, including algorithms and analyses for constructing and optimizing adaptive and just-in-time adaptive interventions. She is a MacArthur Fellow and a member of the National Academy of Medicine and the National Academy of Sciences. As MAPCI program faculty, she contributes foundational perspectives on dynamic treatment regimes, reinforcement learning, and data-driven personalization.
