An NCI-funded Skills Development Course

Methods for Adapting and Personalizing Cancer Control Interventions-MAPCI

Comprehensive training on novel methods for developing adaptive interventions, including SMARTs and micro-randomized trials (MRTs).

Program Overview

MAPCI is a comprehensive, multi-phase program for cancer-control researchers.

Scholars progress through an online prep course and small-group meetings; a five-day in-person institute; and targeted post-institute mentorship and community support.

Together these phases turn promising ideas into feasible, fundable adaptive intervention studies.

Curriculum & Outcomes

Learn and apply methods for developing adaptive interventions and just-in-time adaptive interventions (JITAIs), including SMARTs and MRTs.

Expect interactive sessions, hands-on analytics, small-group design labs, and 1:1 consults.

You’ll leave with a draft Specific Aims page, a trial schematic, and an analysis plan—plus practical guidance on conducting responsible research.
