Sophie Green is a Senior Research Fellow at the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences, University of Leeds (UK), with an academic background in behavioural science and psychology. Her broad research interests focus on the development and optimisation of complex interventions to prevent and manage cancer. Specific areas of interest include psychological factors impacting people living with cancer, optimisation trials, clinical trials methodology, and medication adherence. She applies behavioural science to understand determinants of health behaviour and to design intervention components that can be tested and refined. Methodologically, she draws on a range of quantitative and qualitative approaches to support intervention development, evaluation, and interpretation in real-world settings. As a 2026 MAPCI Fellow, Green joins a community advancing rigorous methods for cancer prevention and control research.
