Neo Gebru is an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Emory University School of Medicine. His research focuses on developing and testing interventions that support sustained behavior change. He draws on behavioral theories, including behavioral economics, to inform intervention design and uses technology-based delivery approaches such as text messaging. His interests include translating behavioral insights into scalable strategies that fit everyday routines. By combining theory with practical delivery modalities, his work aims to create interventions that can be deployed in real-world contexts and maintained over time. As a 2026 MAPCI Fellow, Gebru joins a community advancing rigorous methods for intervention development and evaluation in cancer prevention and control.
