Maureen A. Walton, MPH, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry and Research Professor of Behavioral Health Technology Innovations at the University of Michigan. A community psychologist, she develops and tests approaches to prevent and treat substance use and related harms such as interpersonal violence, partnering with communities to enhance real-world impact. Her work leverages digital health for intervention delivery and applies innovative experimental designs to optimize adaptive interventions. In MAPCI, she contributes applied examples and mentorship at the intersection of behavioral health and mHealth.
