Lara N. Coughlin, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Addiction Center. She co-directs the Michigan Innovations in Addiction Care through Research and Education (MI-ACRE) program and serves as Mental Health Equity Lead in the Eisenberg Family Depression Center. Her research targets substance-related health inequities and develops or adapts interventions rooted in behavioral economics, including contingency management and strategies to increase engagement in substance-free activities. In MAPCI, she brings applied expertise in equitable intervention design and digital and hybrid delivery models.
