John J. Dziak, PhD, is a statistician, programmer, and data scientist whose work focuses on methods for adaptive interventions and intensive longitudinal data. He has expertise in experimental design and analysis for sequential multiple assignment randomized trials (SMARTs), along with latent class analysis, mediation, and interpretable modeling. His career includes research roles at the University of Michigan, the University of Illinois Chicago, and Penn State’s Methodology Center, supporting collaborations in substance use, mental health, and related areas. In MAPCI, he contributes statistical and computing expertise for optimization studies and reproducible analysis.
