Inbal Billie Nahum-Shani is a Collegiate Research Professor at the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research and Director of the Data Science for Dynamic Intervention Decision-Making Center (d3center). Her work develops theory and methods to design adaptive interventions that tailor type, timing, dose, or delivery to individuals’ changing needs, often using digital tools in daily life. She advances experimental designs including SMARTs, micro-randomized trials, factorial designs, and hybrid experimental designs. In MAPCI, she helps lead faculty and trainee learning in adaptive and just-in-time intervention optimization.
