
David M. Fresco, PhD, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Medical School and a faculty affiliate of the Institute for Social Research and d3center. His research focuses on anxiety and mood disorders and draws on affective neuroscience methods such as functional neuroimaging, psychophysiology, and inflammatory markers. He also develops mindfulness-based interventions informed by contemplative science and studies emotion regulation in daily life. In MAPCI, he collaborates on trials that use SMART and JITAI methods to optimize mental health treatments.
